SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result sassa of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support issue developed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
